Steven Phillips has over 20 years’ experience as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He is licensed in Florida and Maryland. His experience includes estate and tax planning, internal and external auditing, acting as a financial controller, and vast personal and corporate income tax knowledge. He has worked with several companies to help create accounting, controller functions, and financial strategies Nationwide. Steven is Life & Health and Securities licensed (Series 7 and 66). He is experienced in creating wealth strategies for individuals and businesses.
Steven, a Washington DC native, graduated with an B.B.A., Finance from The George Washington University and an M.S., Accounting from The American University. He relocated to South West Florida to be closer to his retired parents, his father a former CPA as well.
Steven started his South West Florida journey by working with many Home Builders in the area. He worked as an Internal auditor and controller, and helped build and develop the accounting policies still used today by those companies. He joined the financial services industry in 2009, after the stock market crisis. He has since been a repeat MDVP qualifier.
While he continued to grow his financial business, Steven decided to partner up with a local CPA and merged his accounting firm in Bonita Springs in 2015, creating Capital Care Group. He expanded his accounting reach when he merged with a second CPA firm in Ft Myers in 2016.
